Nigerian world record holder in the women's 100m hurdles, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, expressed her determination to win a medal at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo. Despite facing fitness struggles in recent seasons, she clinched a silver medal behind Swiss athlete Ditaji Kambundji, earning a prize money of N53 million.

Amusan's impressive performance marked her return to form, with a strong finish securing her second place. Grateful for the silver medal, she emphasized her hard work and dedication to achieving success in Tokyo, highlighting her refusal to leave without a medal.

This victory comes after her previous failure to medal in Budapest in 2023.
