Anambra Election: IPC and CEMESO Ensure Transparent Polls and Media Safety

The International Press Centre (IPC) and the Centre for Media Society (CEMESO) have restated their dedication to overseeing the Anambra governorship election in real-time through an observation hub to ensure media safety and promote transparency. With 2.8 million registered voters expected to participate across 21 local government areas, the partners will provide journalist protection, voter education, and real-time analysis.

The European Union's support aims to enhance collaboration and information exchange among media, civil society, and security agencies. The hub will monitor and address election-related incidents swiftly, including threats to journalists and voter suppression.
