Anambra Government Disputes 2025 PCL State Rating, Cites Flawed Methodology

Anambra State Government rejected the 2025 state performance index rating by Philips Consulting Limited (PCL), labeling it flawed and biased. The report ranked Anambra as one of the worst states to live in, which the government strongly disagreed with.

Anambra's Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, criticized the report, stating that Anambra excels in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

She emphasized that reputable international organizations have ranked Anambra highly, casting doubt on PCL's credibility. The government expressed concern that the misleading report could harm Anambra's reputation.

Philips Consulting Limited was urged to conduct more thorough and unbiased assessments in the future.
