Anambra Traders Defy Police Orders, Open Businesses During Governorship Election

Traders in Anambra, particularly in Onitsha, disregarded police directives to open their businesses during the governorship election. Despite the movement restrictions announced by the Anambra State Police Command, traders set up makeshift stalls near the market, attracting residents rushing to purchase essential items.

Among the candidates vying for the governorship seat is the incumbent, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, running on the platform of APGA. The police warned of arrests for those who disobeyed the movement restrictions.
