AnambraDecides2025: Voting Begins Amidst Logistical Challenges and Low Turnout

Voting has begun in Anambra State for the 2025 governorship election, with polling units opening early. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed the start of voting in various locations such as Aguata LGA, Awka South LGA, Orumba North LGA, Nnewi North LGA, and Nnewi South LGA.

Some areas experienced minor logistical challenges and low voter turnout initially. There were delays in the commencement of voting in certain polling units due to the absence of security personnel and election agents.

Additionally, frustration was reported among ad hoc staff who were not selected for duty despite applying.
