Iyin Aboyeji to Speak at Insurance Meets Tech 5.0 Event

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave, and Founding Partner of Future Africa, has been confirmed as the Headline Speaker for the fifth edition of Insurance Meets Tech (IMT 5.0). The event, themed “Building Insurance That Connects,” will take place on November 20, 2026, at the Balmoral Event Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Aboyeji will present on “Capital, Code and the Race to Nigeria’s First Insurance Unicorn,” exploring how enhanced capital and scalable technology can integrate insurance into existing platforms used by Nigerians. The selection of Aboyeji is based on his experience as both a founder and investor in technology unicorns.

Odion Aleobua, Convener of IMT, emphasized the need for transformative discussions in the insurance sector, which has yet to see significant growth compared to other industries. Aboyeji expressed his anticipation for the event, highlighting the importance of building insurance products that align with trusted platforms to achieve the first insurance unicorn in Nigeria.
