Niger State Youths Attack Governor's Convoy Over Unfulfilled Cash Promises

In Niger State, angry youths attacked Governor Umar Bago's convoy in Bida after promises of cash handouts were not fulfilled. The incident occurred during a visit by the governor, where a large crowd gathered expecting money but left empty-handed.

The situation escalated as the youths turned violent, targeting the convoy and campaign materials. The attack resulted in damage to vehicles and injuries to individuals, including Isah Jibrin from the Federal Character Commission.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the mob attack. The Niger State Independent Electoral Commission also announced the winners of the local government elections.
