APC aspirant tackles Oyebanji over comment on Ekiti gov’ship election

An APC aspirant has criticized a statement made by Oyebanji regarding the Ekiti governorship election. Oyebanji was quoted as saying he wants to see local and ward chairmen open their offices to aspirants.

The aspirant, Ojo, accused the governor of violating the APC Constitution and the Nigerian constitution by trying to control candidate selection. Ojo emphasized that everyone has the right to associate and switch parties, as long as it is done legally.

He described the governor's actions as an attempt to turn the APC into a family-run organization. Despite alleged attacks and harassment, Ojo remains confident in winning the party's primary election on October 27, 2025.

He vowed to address the challenges facing the state.
