APC Chieftain Criticizes IPOB Lawyer's Call for Nepal-Style Protest

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the ruling APC in Lagos State, criticized a lawyer from IPOB for suggesting a Nepal-style protest in Nigeria. Igbokwe condemned the call for protests, citing the alleged corruption in Nepal that led to a deadly revolution.

He emphasized the need for common sense and cautioned against replicating Nepal's experience in Nigeria. The lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, was accused of promoting violence and destruction in the South East.

This reaction comes amidst growing tensions in the region. Additionally, Nepal recently imposed a ban on several social media platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp, raising concerns about freedom of expression.
