Nigerian Government Orders FCT Workers to Work from Home

The Nigerian government has mandated that all workers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) work from home on March 27 and 28, 2026, in light of the upcoming APC convention scheduled to take place at Eagle Square. This directive was communicated through a circular issued by Dr.

Abdul S. U.

Garba, the Permanent Secretary of the Service Welfare Office and Head of the Federal Civil Service. The circular also announced the closure of access roads leading around the Federal Secretariat complex during this period to facilitate the convention's activities.

Civil servants whose offices are located within phases II and III of the Federal Secretariat complex, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are specifically instructed to adhere to this work-from-home directive. The road closures are deemed necessary to ensure smooth movement and security around the venue adjacent to the Federal Secretariat complex.
