APC's Electronic Registration in Niger State Faces Poor Turnout

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has experienced a slow start to its electronic registration exercise, with only 100,000 members registered across 274 wards and 25 local government areas. Governor Moham Umaru Bago initiated the registration process a week ago, but the turnout has been disappointing.

Alhaji Labaran Sarkinkaji, the state party's Public Secretary, acknowledged the slow start but assured that efforts were being made to assist members in obtaining their National Identification Numbers (NIN) for registration. Senator Moham Sani Musa also contributed to the exercise by donating funds for APC constituency projects.

The party aims to register one million members before the registration deadline. Governor Bago provided support for the exercise by donating N160 million, 300 motorcycles, and 300 tablets to facilitate the registration process.
