APC Has No Plan to Release El-Rufai Until 2027 Elections

Bolaji Abdullahi, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated on Wednesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has no plans to release former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai from detention until after the 2027 elections. Abdullahi accused Bola Tinubu's administration of focusing solely on the upcoming elections while neglecting critical issues such as hunger and insecurity, which he claims affect millions of Nigerians.

He highlighted that 17 million Nigerians are facing starvation, yet the government has not addressed this crisis. Abdullahi emphasized the need for a new political approach and ethics to address the country's problems, criticizing the APC for abandoning its original agenda since 2015.

He asserted that the ADC aims to restore democracy and improve citizens' lives, contrasting their vision with the current administration's focus on political maneuvering rather than substantive governance.
