PDP Accuses APC of Intimidating Governors to Defect Ahead of 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of intimidating and inducing its governors, including Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, to defect. The PDP's National Public Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, warned that defection will not determine the 2027 election outcome.

The PDP highlighted concerns about insecurity and economic hardship, urging Nigerians not to base their decisions on defection but on governance issues. The PDP also mentioned its readiness for the 2027 elections and criticized the APC for allegedly being jittery about the PDP's plans for a national convention.
