APC Leaders Oppose Justice Lifu's Recusal in ADC Case

The Grassroot Mobil Network (GMN) has alleged that leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are opposing the recusal of Justice Peter Lifu from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) leadership suit. GMN spokesperson Comrade Peter Emeka made these claims during a press briefing in Abuja.

Emeka accused APC leaders of pressuring the judiciary to keep Lifu on the case, despite ADC's request for his withdrawal, warning that this could lead to unnecessary crises. He stated that Justice Emeka Nwite should handle the case and that Lifu's continued involvement could derail democracy.

Emeka further alleged that APC leaders are confident that nothing will happen if Lifu refuses to withdraw, asserting that the FCT High Court should disregard any Supreme Court judgment directing expedited action on the matter. He emphasized that the judiciary should not settle political scores and urged Lifu to recuse himself to allow the case to proceed without interference.
