APC Appoints Anyim and Masari for 2026 Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially appointed Pius Anyim as the chair of the 2026 presidential primary committee, with Aminu Masari serving as the chair of a separate appeal panel. This announcement was made by Ajibola Basiru, the APC national secretary, on Thursday.

The presidential primaries are set to take place on May 23, 2026, across 8,809 wards nationwide, where members will cast their votes for presidential aspirants. The results will be collated at the local government level, with a total of 774 local government areas involved.

The exercise will be supervised by state-level coordinators appointed by the party, ensuring compliance with the guidelines established by the APC. The leadership structure for the primary election committee includes notable members such as Ken Nnamani, Victor Udo Udoma, and Otunba Grace Titi Laoy, among others.

The party has also released a comprehensive list of state coordinators responsible for collating results from their respective states.
