APC Writes US Congress Over Christian Genocide Claims in Nigeria, Cautions Against Misinformation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in the USA has written to US Congress leaders cautioning against recent claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria, following warnings by Donald Trump on military intervention. The letter addressed Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, among others.

The APC emphasized diplomatic engagement over military intervention, highlighting the complex security challenges in Nigeria. The letter referenced President Bola Tinubu's response to the June 2025 massacre in Benue State, where predominantly Christian residents were killed.

Concerns were raised about misinformation and domestic political interests influencing the narrative on Nigeria's security issues ahead of the 2027 general elections.
