Nigerian Army Denies Brigade Commander Abduction, Confirms Deaths in Borno Ambush

The Nigerian Army has denied reports of the abduction of a Brigade Commander in Borno State, labeling the claims as false. Instead, the Army confirmed the tragic deaths of two soldiers and two civilian Joint Task Force members during an ambush by insurgents in the Wajiroko area of Damboa local government.

The troops, led by Brigadier General M. Uba, engaged in a firefight with the insurgents from the Sambisa Forest.

The Army expressed condolences to the families of the fallen personnel for their heroic sacrifice.
