Nigerian Army Neutralizes Terrorists in Taraba Operation

Nigerian Army troops from the 6 Brigade, as part of Operation Lafiya Nakowa, successfully neutralized two suspected terrorists in Takum local government area of Taraba State. Acting on intelligence, the troops engaged a terrorist group planning an attack on Chanchanji community.

During the operation on September 15, 2025, the soldiers eliminated one terrorist and forced the others to retreat. Pursuing the fleeing suspects, the troops encountered a second group in Ananum community, resulting in the neutralization of another terrorist.

The army recovered arms, ammunition, and a motorcycle during the operation, demonstrating their commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the security of communities in the region.
