Tolu Arokodare Celebrates 100 Goals with Ajax Victory
Tolu Arokodare, a 25-year-old striker for Ajax, reached the milestone of 100 career goals after scoring in a 2-0 UEFA Conference League victory over Atalanta on October 24, 2026. He came on as a substitute in the 66th minute and scored the opening goal in the 87th minute, controlling a long ball from Youri Baas and finishing past goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.
Arokodare thanked God and his supporters on social media, stating, “100 career goals. Grateful for this journey I am on.” His career goals include 22 for Valmiera, 21 for Amiens, 41 for Genk, six for Wolves, and two for Nigeria.
He joined Ajax on a season-long loan from Wolves and has scored eight goals for the club. Ajax's win ended an eight-match winless streak against Italian clubs and provided their first points in the Conference League after losing to Hajduk Split.
Ajax coach Míchel Sánchez praised Arokodare's impact and expressed confidence in his relationship with the player.
