Arsenal's Late Goals Secure 2-0 Win Over Everton

On Saturday, Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, bringing them closer to the Premier League title. The match saw Mikel Arteta's team struggle to penetrate Everton's defense until the 89th minute when Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres opened the scoring.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford failed to deal with a cross, allowing teenage midfielder Max Dowman to keep the ball alive in the six-yard box, enabling Gyökeres to tap into an empty net. Dowman then sealed the victory in stoppage time with a sprint the length of the pitch to score into an unguarded net as Everton pushed forward for a late corner.

This goal made the 16-year-old Dowman the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history and Arsenal's youngest scorer. The win extended Arsenal's league winning streak to four matches and placed them 10 points clear of second-place Manchester City, who were set to face West Ham United later that day.

Arsenal last lifted the English title in 2004 and is chasing their first league crown in 22 years.
