Arsenal is set to avoid disciplinary action from UEFA after missing their mandatory pre-match press conference on Tuesday, September 9, ahead of their Champions League opening fixture against Napoli in Naples. The club's flight was delayed due to air traffic control disruptions in the UK, causing their arrival in Naples to be pushed back to 9:30 PM local time, leading to the cancellation of Mikel Arteta's scheduled press conference at 7:15 PM BST.

UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body is not expected to take action due to the mitigating circumstances. Arsenal is still rebuilding their squad after finishing as runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain in the previous season's Champions League final.

Defender William Saliba is sidelined with a back injury, while Cristhian Mosquera missed a recent match due to a muscle problem. Jurrien Timber is returning from minor surgery.

Napoli will also be without several first-team players, including Scott McTominay, who is recovering from heart surgery.
