Asake Announces May 1 Release for Fourth Album

Nigerian music star Asake has unveiled the official release date for his fourth studio album, which is set for May 1. The announcement was made via social media, where he shared a teaser that hinted at the project's artwork, featuring a sculpture resembling marble by Iraqi-Dutch artist Athar Jabar.

This upcoming album is expected to include songs that have already been released, such as "Why," "Love," "Badman," "Gangster," and "Worship," and will also feature international DJ DJ Snake. This album marks Asake's fourth studio project within a five-year span, following his collaborative EP "Real Vol. 1" with Wizkid in early 2026.

Asake has consistently delivered chart-topping projects, including "Mr. Money With The Vibe" in 2022 and "Work of Art" in 2023, and is recognized as a prominent voice in the Afrobeat genre.

He received a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the last Grammy Awards, although the award was won by Tems.
