Aston Villa Wins Europa League After 44 Years

Aston Villa has been crowned Europa League champions after a 44-year wait, securing their first title in 30 years. The final took place in Istanbul, Turkey, where they defeated a German team.

Youri Tielemans opened the scoring with a volley from a short corner kick in the 41st minute, followed by Emiliano Buendia curling a shot into the top corner to double the lead. Morgan Rogers added a third goal early in the second half, poking home Buendia's cross.

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, lifted the Europa League trophy, marking his fifth time winning the competition and making him the first manager to achieve this feat with three different teams, following his previous successes with Sevilla. Aston Villa's victory qualifies them for the European Super Cup, where they will face the winner of the UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
