African Traditional Leaders Commit to Combat Gender-Based Violence at Lagos Conference

African traditional leaders gathered at a high-level conference in Lagos, Nigeria, organized by the Ford Foundation and UN Women, to pledge stronger action against gender-based violence (GBV). Influential monarchs and policymakers, including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and traditional leaders from various African countries, highlighted the need for cultural approaches to prevent GBV.
