Atiku Abubakar Clarifies ADC's Zoning Provision, Silent on 2027 Ambition

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar disclosed during a visit to former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in Minna, Niger State, that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) does not have a zoning provision in its constitution. Atiku clarified that while other major political parties like the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have zoning formally enshrined in their constitutions, the ADC operates differently.

He did not confirm whether he would seek the presidency in 2027 on the ADC platform. Atiku, who contested as a presidential candidate in the last general elections, neither declared his interest nor ruled out participating in the upcoming race, leaving political observers to speculate on his next move.
