Adamu Atiku Enters Adamawa South Senatorial Race

Adamu Atiku, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has officially declared his intent to run for the Adamawa South senatorial district seat in the 2027 general elections. He is contesting under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This announcement was made following extensive consultations with constituents, reflecting encouragement from stakeholders across the district. Adamu Atiku emphasized his commitment to serve the people of Adamawa South and described his movement as people-driven, aiming to promote unity and quality representation.

He formally began his political journey by acquiring a nomination form, marking the start of his campaign. Additionally, he resigned from his position in the cabinet of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, following Fintiri's defection to another political party.

Adamu Atiku's entry into the race signifies the continued political involvement of the Atiku family in the region.
