Australia Sets Conditions for Graduate Visa with Family Option

Australia's Department of Home Affairs has outlined six conditions for graduates seeking the Second Post-Higher Work stream of the Temporary Graduate visa, subclass 485. This visa is intended for temporary graduates who hold a post-higher education work, post-study work, or replacement visa and have obtained their degree from an Australian institution in a designated regional area.

The conditions include: applicants must be aged 35 years or under at the time of application, be physically present in Australia when applying, hold a Temporary Graduate visa in the relevant streams, have completed a degree through a CRICOS-registered course in an eligible regional area, have lived in that area for at least two years prior to applying, and provide evidence of adequate health insurance. The visa allows holders to live, study, and work in Australia temporarily and brings the added benefit of permitting family members to accompany them, aligning with Australia's policy to encourage population growth outside major cities.
