Austria Waives Accommodation Proof for 8 Residence Permits

Austria's immigration authority has announced that foreigners applying for eight specific residence permits are exempt from providing proof of adequate accommodation. This exemption applies to permits such as the Red-White-Red Card, which targets skilled workers from outside the European Union, and the Blue Card for highly qualified professionals.

The waiver also includes student and volunteer permits, expanding the exemption beyond economic migrants. Despite the waiver, applicants must still consider monthly housing costs in their means of subsistence calculations where applicable.
