The National Football League (NFL) announced this development, confirming her performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London during the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

This event is part of the NFL's 2026 International Games, aimed at expanding American football's reach globally. Ayra Starr's selection highlights the growing recognition of African music, particularly Afrobeats, in international entertainment.

Tim Tubito, the NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, praised her as a major talent with a strong connection to London's music scene. Ayra Starr expressed her excitement on Instagram, stating that performing at the NFL halftime show in London is a dream come true.

Her appearance will be part of seven halftime shows presented by American Express across various countries.
