Ayra Starr's "Starr Girl" Album Set for August Release

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is set to release her third studio album, titled "Starr Girl," on August 14, 2026. This marks her first full-length project since 2024.

The album was initially announced in April 2026, with a planned release date of July 2026, which was later postponed to August 14. The official cover art, shot by Paris-based photographer Axle Jozeph, features Starr in a purple gele, symbolizing her Nigerian heritage.

The cover was produced by Oyinkan Adeshoye, with creative direction from Peter Famosa, Richie Igunma, and Ola Badmus. Starr has indicated that this album will differ from her previous two projects, which were tied to specific chapters of her life, and will include a variety of genres such as Afrobeats, R&B, and dancehall-influenced pop.

Four tracks have been confirmed for the album: "Gimme Dat" featuring Wizkid, "Who's Dat Girl" with Rema, "Where Do We Go," and "Tornado," which was released on June 12, 2026.
