BACCIMA President Cautions Nigerians Against False Reports on Abolishing Sharia Law

The President of BACCIMA, Aminu Mohammed Danmaliki, warned Nigerians about false online reports alleging that Bola Tinubu intends to rename Nigeria to the United States of Nigeria and abolish Sharia criminal law in the North without national consensus. Danmaliki stressed the importance of following constitutional procedures and avoiding unnecessary tensions.

He reaffirmed the presence of Sharia in the constitution to protect the rights of Nigerian Muslims, urging against any attempts to undermine these legal rights. The caution aimed to prevent misinformation and division in a country already facing economic and security challenges.
