Nigerian troops, led by Captain Babatunde Zubairu, engaged in a fierce gun battle with bandits in Kano following intelligence reports. The operation, conducted by the Nigerian Army's 3 Brigade, resulted in the neutralization of 19 bandits and the recovery of weapons and phones.

Two soldiers lost their lives during the encounter. Brigadier General Ahm Tukur assured the public of the military's commitment to maintaining peace and security in Kano.
