Bangladesh Envoy Visits NAFDAC to Boost Trade Relations

On Thursday, Mr. Miah Md Kabir, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Abuja.

The purpose of the visit was to explore areas of mutual collaboration between Nigeria and Bangladesh, particularly in expanding trade, fostering technological exchange, and strengthening the security of drug and vaccine supply in both countries. The High Commissioner expressed Bangladesh's readiness to partner with NAFDAC to advance the pharmaceutical industry and promote trade and investment between the two nations.

He highlighted Bangladesh's population of 180 million people and noted the vast trade opportunities that could arise from strengthening bilateral relations. In response, Prof.

Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, the Director General of NAFDAC, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to ensuring the availability of safe, high-quality, and effective medicines in Nigeria.
