Banigbe: Nigeria’s Economic Growth Hinges on Innovation, Workforce Adaptability

Obafemi Banigbe, CEO of T2, emphasized that Nigeria's economic growth relies on innovation and the adaptability of its workforce. Speaking at the 32nd Annual Trainers Conference, Banigbe highlighted the need for continuous upskilling and digital learning to keep pace with the rapidly evolving global economy.

He warned that without investing in human capital and innovation, Nigeria risks falling behind. Banigbe urged Nigerians to rethink their approach to learning and work to build a prosperous and inclusive society.

He stressed the importance of democratizing access to digital tools and creating Afrocentric educational content. Banigbe envisioned a civil service workforce driven by solutions and innovation, rather than processes, and emphasized the enduring advantage of human skills over artificial intelligence.

He encouraged the adoption of online training models and virtual cohort learning to shape Nigeria's workforce for the future.
