Bank of Industry Disburses Record N636bn to 7,000 Businesses in 2025

The Bank of Industry (BOI) in Nigeria disclosed that it disbursed a total of N636 billion to 7,000 businesses across various sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, and more in 2025. This marked the largest annual disbursement in the history of BOI, reinforcing its position as a leading development finance institution.

The sectors allocated funds included agro-allied enterprises, infrastructure, manufacturing, extractive industries, and services. The bank also supported businesses through syndicated facilities, the Federal Government's MSME loan grant, and international partnerships.

The disbursements led to the creation and retention of 1.6 million jobs, with 7,000 new MSMEs and 570 startups supported. The BOI's efforts align with the vision to drive industrialization, economic diversification, and inclusive growth across Nigeria.

Despite global economic challenges, the bank maintained strong asset quality and a low non-performing loan ratio. The BOI also invested in digital and creative enterprises, rural development programs, and critical infrastructure projects, contributing to sustainable development and environmental impact reduction.
