Barau, minister absent as Kano APC reaffirms loyalty to Ganduje, strategises for 2027

The Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reaffirmed its loyalty to Governor Ganduje and strategized for the 2027 elections at a meeting that drew a large turnout of party members. Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and Minister of State for Housing Yusuf Abdullahi Ata were notably absent, with Barau citing the country's situation following a death in London as the reason.

The meeting, hosted at Ganduje's residence, saw stakeholders endorsing Ganduje as the undisputed leader of the APC in Kano State. Key figures in attendance included Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and Minister of State for FCT Dr Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure.

The stakeholders expressed confidence in the party's ability to win upcoming elections and maintain its stronghold in Kano, emphasizing discipline, unity, and loyalty to the party's ideals. The meeting ended with a renewed call for support for Ganduje and President.
