Barcelona Files UEFA Complaint Over Handball Incident

FC Barcelona has formally complained to UEFA about a handball incident that was not reviewed during their 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the 54th minute when Atletico's Marc Pubil appeared to handle a pass from goalkeeper Juan Musso while attempting to take a goal kick.

Romanian referee Istvan Kovac did not award a penalty, leading to a furious reaction from the Barcelona bench. The Catalan club, which has won the UEFA Champions League five times, criticized the video review process and suggested that the incident reflects a wider pattern affecting their season.

Barcelona is now focused on the return leg in Madrid next Wednesday, where they aim to overturn the two-goal deficit to keep their European hopes alive.
