Barcelona Hosts Real Madrid in Crucial El Clásico Clash
FC Barcelona will host Real Madrid in El Clásico at Camp Nou, aiming to extend their La Liga title lead. Barcelona, managed by Hansi Flick, currently holds a six-point advantage over third-placed Madrid and could increase this to nine points with a win.
Barcelona recently suffered their first defeat of the season against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. They welcome back Brazil forward Raphinha, who leads the La Liga scoring charts with 12 goals, and the young winger Lamine Yamal.
However, they face defensive issues with Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen sidelined, and Jules Kounde doubtful. Real Madrid, managed by Jose Mourinho, has won their last four matches, including a victory over RB Leipzig.
They will be without forward Vinicius Junior due to suspension, which Mourinho described as “more a solution than a problem.” Record signing Yan Diomande may play a key role in the match. Both teams are under pressure to perform, with the match also serving as a platform for Raphinha and Mbappe ahead of the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
