Bayelsa State Acquires Aircraft for Commercial Flights at Yenagoa Airport

Bayelsa State Government has acquired two aircraft to kickstart commercial flight operations at the Bayelsa International Airport in Yenagoa. Governor Douye Diri revealed the development during a visit from the Prime Minister of the State of Africa Diaspora Tin.

The aircraft are expected to arrive soon and will operate commercial flights from the airport, aiming to make it fully operational and commercially viable. Governor Diri welcomed the partnership with the State of Africa Diaspora, emphasizing the significance of the visit in enhancing the airport's expansion and development into a smart city.

The move comes after the near-collapse of a private airline that had previously operated at the airport, leaving it inactive.
