Bayelsa Queens Secure Opening Victory in WAFU B Campaign

Bayelsa Queens FC Prosperity Girls kicked off their WAFU B campaign with a 2-1 victory against Police Ladies FC from Ghana. The match took place at the Stade Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro.

Prosperity Girls scored first in the 12th minute through Shakirat Moshood. Emem Essien added a second goal for Bayelsa Queens in the 62nd minute.

Although Police Ladies pulled one back through Mary Berko, Bayelsa Queens held on for the win. Shakirat Moshood was awarded the player of the match.

The victory has boosted the confidence of the team as they look forward to their next game against ASKO FC from Togo in Group B. Coach Whyte Ogbonda expressed satisfaction with the team's performance.
