Bayern Munich, Dortmund Compete for Nigerian Star Ahanor

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have entered a competitive race to sign 18-year-old Nigerian defender Ahanor from Atalanta, with interest intensifying ahead of the summer transfer window. Ahanor, who is currently valued between €50m and €60m, has emerged as a highly-rated prospect in European football due to his tactical discipline and versatility, capable of playing as a left-back, wing-back, or center-back.

Borussia Dortmund is particularly interested in Ahanor as part of their strategy to nurture elite young talent, preparing to offer a transfer package worth around €25m plus performance-related bonuses. They see him as a key part of their long-term project.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is also keen on Ahanor to address their defensive depth concerns and views him as a long-term solution. Ahanor, who has Nigerian parents and has begun his international journey with Italy's U21 side, has received a call-up during the March international window.
