Neo Akpofur Threatens Legal Action Over Rape Allegation

Neo Akpofur, known from Big Brother Naija Season 5, has threatened legal action against a social media user, Ms. Arikan Udoka, over allegations of rape made against him.

The allegations were reportedly published on February 17, 2026, and Akpofur's legal representative, Chief Victor O. Idiapho, issued a letter on February 18, 2026, demanding a public retraction and apology within 48 hours.

The letter describes the allegations as false, malicious, and defamatory, asserting that they could cause serious reputational damage to Akpofur. The legal team emphasizes that there was a prior consensual relationship and that the claims portray him as a sexual offender, which could expose him to public ridicule and emotional distress.

They warned that failure to comply with their demands would lead to immediate legal proceedings. The letter also requires the deletion of the defamatory post from the platform and a written undertaking to refrain from making further defamatory claims.
