Bisola Aiyeola Discusses Marriage Views on In My Opinion Podcast

Bisola Aiyeola, a 40-year-old Nollywood actress, shared her thoughts on marriage during an appearance on the In My Opinion podcast. She expressed that marriage is not her main focus and that she feels no pressure to get married.

Aiyeola questioned the rationale behind remaining in a marriage where women often bear the majority of responsibilities without adequate support from their partners. She highlighted that many women manage their families, care for their children, and run their households while still being expected to fulfill their husbands' needs.

This situation leads some women to reconsider the purpose of marriage when they are already handling the responsibilities that should be shared. Aiyeola stated, “Being a single parent and looking after my daughter, I still let her know that being a single parent is not that easy.” She noted that she turned 40 in January and feels content with her life, emphasizing that marriage, while important for society, is not the core of her existence.
