APC Denies Rumors of Notorious Bandit Leader's Membership Registration

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has addressed rumors surrounding the alleged registration of notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji, as a party member. In a statement by Felix Morka, the APC's national spokesperson, the party urged Nigerians to disregard any membership slip featuring Turji, emphasizing that it is fake.

Yusuf Idri Gusau, the party's spokesperson, highlighted that no individual can validly register without a National Identification Number (NIN), which Turji lacks, rendering the purported membership slip invalid. The APC distanced itself from Turji, describing the circulated membership slip as forged and part of a mischievous attempt to discredit the party.

Former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, expressed surprise at the reports, emphasizing the need for caution in believing such claims. The party reiterated its commitment to ongoing membership registration exercises across states and emphasized the importance of adhering to valid registration procedures.
