Besiktas Tags Wilfred Ndidi at €8 Million Amid Interest

Besiktas has reportedly placed an €8 million price tag on Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is the captain of the Super Eagles. Ndidi, 28, joined Besiktas from Leicester City for the same amount following Leicester's relegation from the English Premier League.

However, his debut season in Turkey did not yield the desired results, as Besiktas finished fourth in the Turkish Super Lig, missing out on a top-three finish. This disappointing season has prompted changes in the club's technical setup, with Vincenzo Italiano taking over as head coach.

Reports suggest that Ndidi is not part of Italiano's plans, making his exit a priority during the current transfer window. Ndidi has already been linked with several clubs across Europe and the Middle East, including teams from the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this year, he was also linked with a potential move to Manchester United, although no deal was finalized.
