BlackHorse Launches 400MT Rice Mill and Sack Plant

BlackHorse Holding Company Limited has launched a 400 metric ton (MT) rice mill under the trade name Crescent Rice Limited, along with a 240 MT sack manufacturing plant named Aminchi Bags Limited. The launch occurred at the Crescent Rice Mill facility located in Danzaki, along Hadejia Road, Kano.

Both facilities are powered by a 3MW sustainable, independent power solution, allowing for sustainable manufacturing practices. The Managing Director of Crescent Rice Mills Limited, Rahul Bakliwal, stated that the investment aims to support the national food supply, resolve local packaging challenges, and create value for stakeholders.

Muhammad Sani Utai, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackHorse Holdings Limited, shared that the venture, which began three years ago, is set to expand production capacity beyond 500 MT and will include an oil mill for processing groundnut oil and sorghum, in addition to the bagging facility.
