CDCFIB Disowns Fake Circular on Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) issued a statement disowning a fake circular that circulated on social media, which promoted a presidential ticket involving former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 elections. The statement, released on Friday by Okeh Juliet, Head of Press and Public Relations, clarified that the circular was false and unauthorized, urging the public to disregard it.

The document claimed that delays in the ongoing recruitment exercise were due to administrative hurdles requiring clearance from the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and suggested that an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket would represent transformative governance. The Board emphasized that the Ministry of Interior was focused on institutional reforms and improving service delivery, and urged the public to rely solely on official communication channels for authentic information regarding recruitment and other activities.
