Renowned Nigerian Boardroom Guru Otunba Adekunle Ojora Passes Away at 93

Otunba Adekunle Ojora, a distinguished figure in Nigeria's corporate landscape, passed away at the age of 93. Born on June 13, 1932, Ojora had a remarkable career that spanned journalism, public service, politics, and corporate governance.

He held key positions such as Chairman of the Board at Agip Nigeria Limited from 1971 until its acquisition by Unipetrol in 2002. Ojora's professional journey began in the 1950s at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London before returning to Nigeria to work at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).

He later ventured into public relations and management roles, eventually becoming an executive director at UAC. Ojora's influence extended beyond the boardroom, as he held significant interests in various companies, including Agip Petroleum and NCR Nigeria.

He was deeply rooted in tradition as the Otunba of Lagos and is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojuolape, and children, including prominent figures like Toyin Saraki and Bukola Saraki. The family announced that burial arrangements would be communicated shortly.
