BPP Director Commends Tinubu's Reforms; NDDC to Automate Procurement Processes

The Director of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to institutional reforms in public procurement during the opening ceremony of a training program in Port Harcourt.

Adedokun highlighted the importance of transparency and efficiency in government procurement, emphasizing the need for professional development and ethical standards. Meanwhile, the Management Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr.

Samuel Ogbuku, revealed plans to fully automate the commission's procurement processes by the end of the first quarter to enhance transparency and service delivery. The NDDC aims to improve corporate governance and service delivery through new advisory services and accountability measures.

Adedokun also stressed the need for sanctions against staff and contractors involved in misconduct or lack of due diligence in procurement activities.
