Brazil Draws with Morocco; Scotland Wins Against Haiti

Brazil commenced their World Cup bid with a 1-1 draw against Morocco at MetLife Stadium, New York City, on Saturday. Morocco took the lead in the 21st minute through Ismael Saibari.

However, Brazil's Vinicius Junior equalized with a powerful shot in the 32nd minute. Brazil, aiming for their sixth World Cup title, displayed a performance that suggested they have much work ahead under coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti noted the team's anxiety in their first match. In a separate match, Scotland marked their return to the World Cup after a 28-year absence with a 1-0 victory over Haiti, thanks to a goal from John McGinn.

Scotland's manager, Steve Clarke, expressed pride in the team's performance. The tournament also featured Switzerland drawing with Qatar 1-1, with Breel Embolo scoring for Switzerland and Miro Muheim conceding an own goal.
